PIETER FERREIRA CC Rosé (2016) – Sparkling

Pieter Ferreira Cap Classique Rosé 2016 is an attractive salmon colour with a vibrant yet fine persistent bead of mousse. This release of Rose offers wonderful balance, ripe fruit some perfume and restraint. A delicate floral perfume in the glass before offering pomegranate and cherries with a hint of summer fruits. Refreshing acidity and smooth bubbles make this a particularly food friendly. Delicate yeasty tones, layered with red berry fruit fills the palate with complexity. Great vibrant mouthfeel with creamy texture and layered intriguing lingering finish Alc: 11.9%, RS: 0.424g/100ml – Extra Brut, TA: 8.4g/l, pH: 3.02

This incredible bubbles is produced in very limited quantities (2400 bottles per year), and spends 6 years on the lees for optimal maturation. We would expect nothing less from the sparkling wine power couple from South Africa Mr & Mrs Bubbles (aka Pieter and Ann Ferreira)

Radford Dale Renaissance Chenin Blanc (2019)


Aromatics of flowers, dried herbs, citrus and peach. The palate has good fruit expression, nicely integrated acidity and ever so slight phenolic grip to the finish. This has plenty of verve while simultaneously having layers of flavour and is certainly not underdone. Alc: 11.5 % pH: 3.29 TA: 6.1g/L RS: 2.0 g/L

Richard Hilton Vineyards – Emperor Probus Viognier (2019)

Pale bright gold – whiff of cream and clementine, peach and quince, with hints of vanilla and judicious oak maturation overtones. Tropical notes on the pallet also display white juicy fruits of lychee and apricot. Rich, concentrated, and with mouth-watering appeal, this full bodied yet soft wine will round out to become even longer and more lingering. Alc: 14.4%, RS: 0.22g/100ml, TA: 5.1g/l, pH: 3.4

METZER Mantra Red Blend (2020)

A beautiful delicacy on the nose with aromas of black cherries, dried cranberrys, herbs as well as a hint of crushed rose petal. The Shiraz lends some meaty nuances and peppery spice to the blend while the Cinsault is responsible for the wonderfully fragrant aromatics. The palate is fleshy yet supple with a good density of fruit. The tannins are crunchy & persistent due to the whole bunch portion. The wine delivers immediate drinking pleasure but will gain in complexity with further cellaring. Optimum drinking: 2021 – 2028 (16° C). Alc: 13.6%, TA: 5.1 g/l, pH: 3.62, RS: 0.18 g/100ml, Sulphites: 72mg/l

Brunia Syrah (2018)

The 2018 Syrah includes 40% whole bunch, matured in used oak for 14 months. It has a high toned bouquet of dark cherries, black currant and violet aromas, tight at first but blossoming with aeration. The palate is medium bodied with grainy tannins, offering predominantly red fruit laced with black pepper and sage. Balanced and fleshy. Alc: 13.5 %, TA 6.5 g /l, pH: 3.16, RS 1.9 g/l
